Spruce trees provide critical habitat and shelter for birds, foxes, deer, etc. Being evergreens they are semi active in winter, continuing to provide needed shelter and habitat as well as recycling air and nutrients. All evergreens teach us about ongoing pacing, unlike deciduous trees. All beings have unique gifts. We will take a hike to visit the elder Spruce trees and discover their unique gifts. Be prepared for a visit to these magnificent trees by bringing a gift (corn meal, tobacco, wild bird seed, or water). Please wear appropriate clothing including walking shoes.
(If you have worked with spruce and are aware of its unique gifts, please don’t reveal that to others; and please don’t google it, so everyone can have a fresh experience!)
Saturday, November 16th, and Sunday, November 17th, 9:30 to 4:30. $180 for both days. To register and for location call 719-937-7786, or [email protected]

Herb Walks
Scarlet Globe Mallow
Herb walks are a wonderful way to experience the local edible and medicinal plants first hand, guided by an experienced herbalist. You learn how to recognize and identify them, learning specific characteristics to avoid confusing them with similar looking plants. You also experience their unique energies, which also helps to identify them, the same way you can recognize a friend from a distance by their walk. Once you learn the local plants, your world is filled with new friends! Every hike takes on a new meaning as you recognize the plants that share our world.
Dorje leads herb walks primarily in and around Crestone, Colorado, AND, she would be delighted to work with you to arrange an herb walk on your property or favorite trail anywhere!
Spring Herb Walk will be in late May or early June, depending on when things begin to come up!

Sacred Purification with the Elements - August 22 & 23
A two-part workshop with Native American teacher and healer Láné Sáan Moonwalker
Sacred fire and water have been used for purification throughout the ages. Every lasting spiritual tradition has worked with these sacred elements to be more in alignment with universal flow. Understanding this alchemical process is essential in these times so that resolution and healing can take place. This is beneficial for anyone on a spiritual path.
We’ll work with our own personal process on the first day, and on the second day we’ll participate in a sacred purification ceremony as a group.
Although each day of the workshop can be taken separately, it is highly encouraged to do both days.
Saturday, August 22nd from 9:30 to 4:30, and Sunday, August 23rd (Sunday’s time and place TBA). $75 for one day of the workshop or $140 for both days. To register and for location call Dorje Root, 719-937-7786, or [email protected]. Private sessions are available.

The moon affects all that exists on Earth. It regulates all the waters on Earth from little rock crevices, to aquifers, oceans, and the waters inside living beings. It affects our moods, our insecurities, as well as our inspiration and creativity. Working with the moon in an experiential way benefits oracle abilities, shielding, and healing. We will work with the energy of our friendly night light and partner, as we begin to develop an intimate relationship with the moon.
Although each day can be taken separately, it is preferred that both workshops be taken together. $75 for one day, both workshops $140.
To register and for location contact Dorje Root at [email protected]

Everyone has heard this Marianne Williamson quote:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Is this just a pretty concept or affirmation, or can we experience ourselves this way? Experiencing the brilliance of who we really are is not a matter of creating it, but of opening to it. Concepts of unworthiness or inadequacy can be seen as just that, concepts that obscure who we are, rather than beliefs that define us. In my many years of healing work, I’ve come to see how pervasive feelings of unworthiness and inadequacy are, and how they can be seen as the underlying cause of most disease and emotional issues. Growing up in a Judeo-Christian culture, we are seeped in the concept of ‘original sin’, and it has its effect. Once we see this as ‘original lie’, or mistaken view, and experience our inherent worthiness, our lives can change dramatically! Please join me for this celebration of Beingness! This is the second in a series of 6 classes. Sunday, March 18th, 9:30 to 1:30, at 1730 Norwood Ave., Boulder, CO $35 To register: [email protected]. The next classes are:

By learning to work with our natural boundaries, we can enhance our health and well-being and maintain our clarity and focus, allowing us to be in the world without overwhelm and confusion.
Working with natural energies such as the rainbow, and plant and animal energies, we can learn to maintain our own space making us much more effective in whatever work we do.
